The Rotary Community Lottery is an exciting new way for Islanders to assist the Rotary Club of Charlottetown to enhance current and to undertake new community projects. Types of projects that will be supported include:

Rotary Club of Charlottetown Inc. “Rotary Community Lottery” December 14, 2015 to February 8, 2016.
The Rotary Community Lottery “the Lottery” is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Inc. (the Sponsor) as a fund raising activity to allow the Rotary Club of Charlottetown to pursue projects of benefit for citizens of Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island.
The Rotary Community Lottery is open to legal residents of Canada (where permitted by law) who are 18 years of age or older (as of date of purchase). To participate in the Lottery a ticket or tickets may be purchased from any member of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown or by contacting the Club at secretary@rotarycharlottetown.com. Individual lottery tickets are $50.00 per ticket. Three tickets for $125.00. Odds of winning will depend on the number of tickets sold.
A maximum of 1,000 tickets will be offered for sale, providing the chance to win three prize packages as outlined.
Winners will be selected through random drawings from all eligible entries received. In the event the prize is won by a minor, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or legal guardian. In the event of multiple names on an entry the prize will be awarded to the first person named.
The draw will take place at the Rotary Club of Charlottetown’s weekly meeting on February 8, 2016. In the event of a meeting cancellation the draw will take place within seven days.
A prize winner will be notified within 48 hours of their name being drawn using the contact information provided on the ticket drawn. If contact is not made the Sponsor will make two more attempts.
Prize 2 must be claimed by the winner on or before March 9, 2016. All other prizes must be claimed on or before April 9, 2016.

Prize winners that do not claim their prize by the respective dates listed above may only be awarded the travel voucher indicated for the Prize. Travel vouchers not claimed by April 30, 2016 may at the discretion of the Sponsor be subject to a special draw from unselected tickets of the Lottery at a regular meeting of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown.
Every effort will be made to offer the prize as indicated. However, the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Inc. and/or The Travel Store, reserve the right to substitute a travel package of equivalent quality/value in circumstances where the original prize is unavailable. Alternatively, the winner may accept the voucher value indicated for travel through The Travel Store.
All other expenses, meals, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, insurance, additional activities and other stray incidentals are the sole responsibility of the winner.
A list of prize package winners will be posted on the website of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown.

Prize 1:

Prize 3:

Valued at $10,084 for two or in lieu a travel voucher valued at $9,500.
Limitations:
Travel must be accepted as offered; a winner is responsible for travel protection, obtaining any necessary travel documents, any taxes and fees that are paid locally, and any other expenses not specifically covered by the prize package. Sponsors are not responsible for any fees or additional charges resulting from change of travel plans.
All travel is at winners and traveling companion's risk. Winner and traveling companion, by acceptance of the prize, agree to release the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Inc. and The Travel Store their respective agencies and their respective officers, directors, representatives and employees from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, death, damages, losses or other liability that may be sustained in connection with the Lottery, the receipt, ownership, use or misuse of the prize, or while preparing for, participating in, or traveling to or from any prize-related activity.
The prize package is not transferable or refundable and cannot be substituted except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent quality/value at the Sponsor's sole discretion.
If, for any reason, the winner chooses not to accept the prize package as offered, a voucher certificate, of the value indicated in the rules, which may be used at the Travel Store toward the prepaid travel of their choice, may be awarded.
By accepting a prize package, a winner grants the Sponsor the right to use his/her name, likeness and biographical information in advertising and promotion without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
The Rotary Community Lottery is void where prohibited by law. By entering or accepting a prize in this Lottery, the winner agrees to be bound by the decisions of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Inc. and these Official Rules and to comply with all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations and all other requirements of the Sponsor and prize providers.
The official version of these Rules resides with the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown and is posted on the website at www.rotarycharlottetown.com.
The Sponsor reserves the right to change or terminate this Lottery without notice.
