At Monday's meeting we will have the final unit of the Star Program starting at 11:30 am. Club meeting will commence at noon. This week's Star presentation will focus on Membership Development and will be hosted by PE Randy MacDonald. A sincere thank you from all the Club Members to those who presented for the Star Program! And an especial thank you to PDG Bob Moffatt who organized this important initiative for us all.
 
 
Our Speaker at Monday's meeting is Alexia Riche who is the ED of the Community Sector Network. The community sector refers to a range of organizations, groups, and initiatives that work to address social, cultural, economic, and environmental issues in local, national, or global communities. These organizations and groups may be nonprofits, charities, social enterprises, community development organizations, advocacy groups, and volunteer organizations.
 
 
The May 26th Meeting is devoted to our yearly Club Awards and we hope we will have a great turnout to recognize these dedicated Rotarians.
This meeting will be chaired by PP Ron Profit.
The Event is at noon at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel. The Awards Committee, consisting of two Past Presidents, the Current President and President Elect, have selected 4 recipients for the following individual awards.
 
True Rotarian Award
Rotarian of the Year Award
Avenue of Service Award
Rotary Vocational Service Award
 
You can read the criteria for all our Club Awards  updated by PDG Duncan Conrad to be circulated in a separate email to all Members. We will be shortly notifying the recipients so that they and their families will be available to attend.
Lunch will be a served meal and you can pay for same when you arrive.
 
 
On June 9th the Strive Scholarships will be awarded at a ceremony held at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel at noon. This wonderful initiative is one of our most cherished programs so let's see a big turn out to meet them all. Member Pat Hughes, who is instrumental in the facilitation of this Program, will Chair the meeting.
 
 
On May 20th,  via zoom, Part 2 of the Annual Special District Meeting will take place. Please join in to see what your District is up to. The zoom link will be circulated to all Members in due course.
 
At a recent gathering of the Council on Legislation in Chicago your representative Darren Hansen, PDG Moncton West & Riverview, attended and has given us a short summary of the outcomes of same. See the attached.  
 
You still have time to register for the District Conference taking place this month in Halifax. Registration cut off is May 11th. This summary will also be circulated to all Members via separate email.
 
This coming Saturday the 10th Members are asked to come help clean up the fields near Shirley Drive in East Royalty. PDG Duncan lives at 27 and we hope to join the PEIWI in their annual clean up efforts. (If weather permits) 
 
The Changeover of Presidents and Board will take place July 7th at our regularly scheduled meeting that day at the Rotary Auditorium.
 
Congratulations to all involved in Easter Seals this year! Our Ambassador Renee did an awesome job and to date they raised $61,125.11!!
