Fighting Disease/Saving Women and Children (Kenya)
This project is led by a number of globally-minded people on Prince Edward Island and farmers in Kenya. Presently approximately 70 Mwende
women cook over open fires in enclosed kitchens quite often with their babies on their backs. The properly vented wood-stoves help prevent respiratory disease for both the women and their babies and youth. The project provided funds to purchase over 40 cook stoves totaling over $10,000.00 for Kenyan women.
